EPA.gov: discovery of user painpoints and proposed solutions
THE PROBLEM:
Users were having difficulty finding specific information via the current menu navigation structure.
THE SOLUTION:
Improve the main navigation by adding a new category and drop down menu, so that a user can find an article or page without navigating multiple pages. Extra: Update the overall look of the site.

The Beer Nut: making the site newbie-brewer friendly
THE PROBLEM:
Beginning home brewers new to the site have difficulty finding information on getting started with home brewing.
THE SOLUTION:
Funnel new brewers to a How-to page with a prominent graphic on the homepage and improvements to the existing header navigation. And address overall design concerns expressed by users in UX testing.

Chess.com mobile app: helping beginners learn to play chess
THE PROBLEM:
People new to chess have some difficulty learning to play with the app.
THE SOLUTION:
Improve the UI to make it easier for a new player to find the resources they need to start learning chess.
